Laura was a tremendous blessing to me and my

husband during the pregnancy and birth of our first child.

We hired her not knowing exactly what to expect (we were first timers,

after all), but knowing we wanted someone to help guide and support us.

Laura was fantastic and exceeded everything we could have wanted. Every step

of the way she was a wonderful friend who gave sound advice on what to expect,

how to prepare, and how to handle the challenging moments. She brought with her

a range of experiences, an ability to adapt to suit just what we needed at each stage, and (thankfully!) techniques for managing contractions that were invaluable when things got intense. During labor she was so calm and seemed to intuitively know

what I needed in each moment. In the minutes, days, and weeks after birth she was

so helpful and quick to respond to all my random first-time-mom questions!

Laura has a sweet spirit, calming energy, and wealth of knowledge that all

moms can benefit from before, during, and after birth.

We highly recommend meeting and hiring her!

As soon as my first daughter was born via urgent c-section I knew I wanted to try for a VBAC with the second. When I found out I was pregnant I immediately contacted Laura. I knew I would have a better chance with a doula by our side. When I met Laura I knew she was “the one” because of her calming presence. I felt super confident about having a VBAC the closer it got because of Laura’s knowledge along with the research I had done. It was so relaxed in the delivery room because of her! While laboring, she knew the exact positions my body and daughter needed to get her here quickly and safely! So thankful to have Laura by our side during it all!

Where to begin? Well, me and my husband tried to conceive for over a year before we were successful. I had known all along that I wanted a non-medicated, all natural birth, but didn’t know where to begin. After listening to several podcast, I realized about 4-5 months in that I needed a doula. Living in Mississippi, I didn’t know if that was a thing here, so I asked my OBGYN and she referred me to Laura. I came home and discussed it with my husband, who was definitely not interested in a doula. He thought it was a pointless, unnecessary thing to worry with, but he went with it anyways. We met her at a coffee shop. She was one of the nicest, warmest, and genuine people I have ever met. Once we left that initial meet, my husband looked at me and said “let’s hire her.” Over the next few months, we had consistent conversations. She always checked in on me weekly, gave me reassurance, and motivated me to keep going. The night I went into labor, it’s like God himself sent her to us. She came in, pregnant herself, at 3 in the morning and completely took over. She helped not only me, but my husband as well.

After it was all said and done,

I got the delivery I wanted and my husband said “thank God for Laura.” I truly don’t think I could have done it without her motivating and supporting me every step of the way.

We have continued to keep in touch months after delivery. She holds a special place in our hearts and if I was to have another, she would be the first I would call.

Laura was absolutely indispensable throughout my pregnancy and labor/delivery! We moved to the area about halfway through my pregnancy. I knew I wanted a natural birth in a hospital, and Laura pointed me to a list of providers who shared my goals for a low-intervention pregnancy and delivery. Throughout my pregnancy, she checked in on me and answered my various questions. During labor, she encouraged me to try different positions that worked for both baby and me, provided comfort and calming support through her words and touch, and even caught my baby when he came faster than the medical team anticipated! Laura was a fantastic doula who has also become a friend, and I can't recommend her highly enough!
